Students will develop skills in business communications, problem solving, organization, economics, finance, and management principles. Students will learn beginning Microsoft Applications while covering
career search and work place readiness skills. . Students will explore the foundations experience to support a successful transition to the CTE Programs offered in the business career field.

Students will develop entry level skills in Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, and Education Professions career areas. This class will integrate classroom instruction with laboratory experience in each career area. Curriculum materials may include units of measurement, safety, hospitality, nutrition, lesson plan development, classroom management, and work place readiness skills.

This class exposes students to structure and function of the human body. Topics include cells, tissues, integumentary, muscular, skeletal, and nervous, endocrine, circulatory, respiratory, urinary, reproductive and digestive systems. This class also includes an introduction to medical vocabulary for students in nursing and allied health. Topics include word roots, prefixes, suffixes, abbreviations, terminology related to body systems, and work place readiness skills. It provides students with opportunities to apply academic knowledge and make meaningful connections between their education and various career options.
This class is a prerequisite for the CNA program option.

This course is designed for students who are preparing to enter into the field of industrial technology and will focus on careers in the automotive, carpentry, and welding industries.
